What is Truth in this time and age?

With new media so predominant, and everyone a publisher, what is the implication on truths? Will we get more truths, or less? Is there still a place for truths? If 90% of blogosphere believe something is true, does it make it truths then?

Truth, to me, is something (call it "information, if you will) that stands the test of time.

When many people agree something is The Truth, then it may very well be "true", sometimes against overwhelming facts. However, it's only true if it holds up after time has passed. Case in point -- Galileo might have argued and even shown proof that the Earth doesn't revolve around the sun but the authorities of the day called him a heretic. So in his time, the "truth" was that everything revolved around Earth. But Galileo's claims withstood the test of time and he's proven right, and therefore his claims are true.
